We're looking for your comments on how to best organize the wiki's content.
Move the main page?
Since the main page is not an article, it shouldn't be in the article (main) namespace. Nitpicky me would prefer if it was moved to something like Project:Main Page.
That's not how Mediawikis are structured.
The mediawiki manual explains how to change which page is shown by default, but best practice and principle of least-surprise indicates we should follow the lead of other mediawikis, such as Wikipedia (and that manual).
Direct citations with ref won't work unless we add a references block to the talk page, which is a bit much.
What Wikipedians do isn't necessarily the best practice. Their userbase in notoriously divided and there is always a loud opposition (be it minority or majority) to any suggestion of change. And of course, most people remain ignorant/apathetic to the proposal. Here is an archive of previous discussions of the issue. In my opinion most of the reasons for opposing used there are not valid in our case.
Very well. It's not my wiki; ask the Enjin people what they want to do with it. While Main Page is the standard and recommended practice for mediawiki, I support that way of doing it and have very little interest in changing things as it doesn't seem to matter.
So, thank you; I'm not longer ignorant of the proposal, though I'm still confused as to why anyone cares. That would leave me in the 'apathetic' category, but I have no strong objections to it either. Good luck with your agenda there.
