Spaceship
A player's spaceship is the location, currently, where the player spawns. Notch has stated that if a spaceship is destroyed, the player and his/her ship will respawn.
Ships will be the premier feature of 0x10c, as players will spend most of their time on ships. These spacecraft will perform the functions of transportation through the multiverse, housing, air supply, and providing for various other daily 'needs'. Most tasks players will be required to perform in 0x10c can be performed from their ships. As part of the main appeal to owning spaceships, they can be upgraded and customized.

[edit] Customizing the ship
The player uses the ship editor to create the general layout of the ship, then moves around and places panels and other objects manually.[1] The ship editor displays a cutway of the ship, looking down on the individual rooms. It defines rooms fairly clearly, and allows the player to have different sizes of room, as well as the position of the cursor, which is displayed at the location of the mouse.[2]
[edit] Computer
The main on-board computer of spacecraft in 0x10c is the DCPU-16, which is fully programmable and capable of running DCPU games, an OS, and much more. The DCPU-16 will be the main computer and will allow players control over their ships and their ships' various systems, likely including, but not limited to, weapons, a cloaking device, and other mechanisms.
[edit] Combat
In 0x10c, players and their ships will be engaged in combat frequently. Players' main defense (as well as offense) will be their ship's weapons systems. However, players will still remain control of navigating their ships, thus requiring them to rely upon a generator to route the ship's power from non-essential areas to its weapons systems during combat.
[edit] Generator
All ships in 0x10c will require a generator to run and power its various systems. Generators will produce a fixed wattage to the ship and its systems. As everything will be connected to the generator and drain wattage, players will need to experiment with arrangement of the ship's various systems for optimizing power efficiency. Players can upgrade their generator[citation needed] or possibly add another depending on their ships's size and the space it has available.
[edit] Ship ruins
During the course of the game, players may happen across derelict ships. Players can loot these ships, though little more than old treasures and possibly cadavers are expected to be found. Derelict ships are most often found in devastated states whereby extensive and exhausting repair would be required to get them operational.
[edit] AI ships
During 0x10c players may be able to come across AI controlled ships that are hostile, the player can attack and destroy these ships.
